I am new to eBay and sold my first item last week.
The buyer paid postage of £2:70 along with buyer protection.
On completion of the sale, and receiving positive feedback, the funds went into my Ebay account. But the funds are short by £2:70. So why have I been charged an extra £2;70 when the buyer had already paid the postage?
The postage service did cost £2:70 and was covered fully by the buyer.
I tried searching for an answer to this, but couldn't find anything obvious.
Thanks if anyone can shed some light on this.

If as you say, buyer paid for postage and buyer protection, then the postage money comes to you, buyer protection goes to ebay, so you have to pay for postage.
You have all the details of the transaction, you can see all details, we cannot, you end up after paying for postage with the sale price of the item.
Put a screen shot on here of the breakdown of the transaction.

Ah, I have found another page and think I've figured it out.
First item Sold for £50
I paid £2.70 postage
Recieved 52.70 for item and postage.
2 items then sold. One of the items I needed to pay the 2.70 for postage (it was £9 for the item)
These items not been credited to my account yet.
So because I paid the postage, I will recieve 11.70 instead of 9.. which is where I am seeing my account 2.70 down.
So in a couple of days, this should all Right itself.
Pretty much figured it out now.
Sorry if I caused any confusion!
Thanks for the reply.
