Options Avaliable?

Morning all.

I hope this finds you all well.

In need of some community advise on options and weather i have to accept the outcome or any fighting hope of getting a better outcome.

I purchased a refurbished high end toothbrush which came with warranty cover in April. Once received the item was fine and working, however later on around end of May or start of June, it became faulty.

I contacted the seller who quite honestly was evasive and vague when they did reply about being able to return it. Eventually after a stern too and fro I eventually got a return address to send back to.

I was in a period of moving and after two weeks I was able to send the item back.

After a week I noticed the item hadn't been picked up. Contacted the seller, nothing back. So i called Ebay who said i was outside of their ability to intervene and help but advised PayPal can help as I wasnt getting the service I paid for.

I contacted PayPal (painful AI service) and logged a outcome.

Ironically this worked well as it shocked the seller to communicate and complain as to why I had and then used the delay to send as a counter argument they also claimed they didnt know the item hadnt been attempted for delivery.  And had rebooked it.

PayPal then closed my case and said they closed in the sellers favour.

I noticed today that the item is STILL not collected and that the seller has not collected. Or attempting to do so.

Called PayPal and said as the dispute is now closed and outside of the ten days they cannot do anything more. They also cannot reopen or allow me to open a case. They stated that I didnt also choose the right dispute subject... which is a joke in itself.

So now here I am in the community hands to ponder what other options do I have?

Do i accept it or do I have options?

I have sent communication to the seller to find out what is going on. But hold no hope that they will do anything.

Nothing more that can be done after this time unless your Bank/Payment provider can assist ---

BTW - the sale of opened/part used perfumes and cosmetics is not allowed for health, hygiene and safety reasons >
