Ninja creami refurbished issue.

I purchased a refurbished Creami on eBay. I purchased in May for a present this month. Not used at all just waited to give it as a gift. Purchased with an eBay voucher.  I gave the gift this week and it does not work. There is a really bad electrical smell when turned on. I am so scared of it catching fire . I have tried several times to contact the seller, but no reply. There is a 1 year guarantee on this item and I really don't know what to do. The item has very evidently not been used.

Re: Ninja creami refurbished issue.

The seller has a 1 year guarantee, they are a branded seller. Will the guarantee not cover issues within the year.

Re: Ninja creami refurbished issue.

A guarantee is something you arrange with the seller at the time.   eBay don't get involved.   They only allow 30 days from date of deivery for claims.

As you seem to be unable to contact seller, then what use is a warranty. You could consult Citizens Advice.

Was it described as 'Refurbished on eBay' with a blue tick?

I see you have feedback from a seller who has Ninja Creamies with that guarantee.

Those items do come with a one year guarantee and only trusted sellers are allowed to advertise with the blue tick.

You need to find your guarantee - details below.  Then, if you go to the seller's website, you can find their contact details.  there is a phone number, an address and a customer service email.  Contact them, explain the issue and tell them what you expect them to do. Give them a date to respond by.  Personally, I would email first, then try phoning, then send a letter using a signed for service if you don't get a positive response and help.

Your seller guarantee information

All Refurbished items come with a minimum 12-month seller guarantee (available on orders sent to a Mainland UK delivery address). The guarantee covers any defects in functionality.

Once your order has been confirmed, the seller will send you a separate email with details of the seller guarantee, what's covered and their contact information. Alternatively, this information will be included in the parcel when the item is sent to you.

Please make sure you hold on to this information for the duration of the guarantee.
