New “simpler” postage rules are not flexible.

Hello all,

Do we all feel the same?

I wanted to share some concerns about the new “simpler” postage rules recently introduced by eBay.

While I understand the intent to streamline the process, the new system feels too restrictive for both sellers and buyers. It removes the flexibility we previously had to choose postage options that best suited the item type, value, and buyer’s needs.

Many items require secure, tracked, or insured delivery—especially higher-value or fragile ones. Under the new rules, there seems to be limited support for these safer shipping methods, which increases risk for both parties involved in the transaction.

Sellers need more control over how we ship our items, and buyers should have the choice to select more secure delivery options when they want peace of mind.

I hope eBay reconsiders and brings back a wider range of postage choices that reflect the real-world needs of its users.

Would love to hear what other sellers and buyers think—has anyone else run into problems with the new postage system?

Thanks

I suggest you look at the many threads on the main seller discussion board.
