New ebay policy for private sellers after 4th Feb

The new policy from 4th Feb means as a private seller I wont get paid until after delivery . As a long standing member since 2002 , I think is a terrible idea. I will have to seriously consider leaving ebay after 21 years.

Sellers cannot actively control delivery times.

That is even before we consider some dishonest buyers who claim things haven't arrived!

What is the point of ratings for sellers now?????

As fees have been dropped for selling, I guess ebay are not interested in private sellers anymore.

But what about the fees to be included in selling price, how can it be free to sell when fees are taken by the back door?

A better idea would be for sellers to reach a certain  level of positive ratings (i.e 75) at which point they get paid in the old way ( immediately after processing / posting)
