I purchased a presale book made by fairyloot from a reseller in February. They had 97% positive feedback with over 160 items sold so I assumed this was a safe purchase.
Fairyloot original put this item up for sale in December with an estimated delivery date of July/august
I wasnt until I was scrolling on social media did I notice that people had started to receive their orders, so I contacted the seller on the 13th of July to see if they had posted the item yet. It appeared as though they marked their store as closed until the 23rd of July, changed their username and removed all other items from their store.
I waited till the 24th and messaged again and got no reply.
I again contacted on the 25th, 26th and 27th and still got no answer.
I contacted Ebay customer care and explained the situation but they informed me since the purchase was made in febuary and the expected delivery date had passed I'm not longer covered by the money back guarantee.
I tried to explain it was a presale item and the delivery date was July. I even provided them with evidence from the company stating they shipped orders between the 3rd and 10th of July but they still told me I was not entitled to any refund.
Any time I contact them, I'm told to wait 24-72 hours to hear back from the offline specialist team. It's been nearly 2 weeks they still haven't contacted me despite my continued efforts to get in contact.
On the 29th of July I spoke to a customer service representative over live chat that told me I was covered under the presale policy and would be receiving my refund, they assured me they processed the refund request immediately.
This is the last I've heard about any refund.
I've repeatedly contacted Ebay since and keep getting the same generic wait 24-72 hours
