Never received my item

Hi. Can anyone relate to this issue. In December I purchased a motorcycle fuel tank on eBay . And paid instantly for the item at a click and collect  delivery. But for some reason the store would not accept the item. I didn’t know about this until about 5 or 6 days later. So I got in contact with the seller who at the time was very helpful so I didn’t contact eBay. Which I should have. Because I thought between me and the seller we could have resolved the issue between us. After a few days he managed to track the parcel down at the main parcel centre.but when I tried to collect it the next day it had already been sent to were ever and for some reason it could never be located. So the seller got in touch with the courier but nothing was done about it. So we started the process of making a claim but nothing came of that. As I’m the buyer I can’t do anything. So I contacted the courier with the tracking number and they confirmed the seller had started the process of a claim but didn’t follow it up. Again I can’t do nothing. I’ve tried on many occasions to contact the seller but he doesn’t answer my messages as it stands I’m £92 out of pocket through no fault of mine and I can’t contact the seller. I’ve been in touch with eBay but it’s been too long to make a claim. I should have gone straight to eBay but I trusted the seller to resolve it but now no item and £92 out of pocket . I’ve been in contact with citizen advise but no luck. As anyone had anything like this happen to them and can give me any advice. Thanks

Many Stores and Carriers including Royal Mail will refuse to handle items (eg fuel tanks) which may have contained volatile fuels at any time as being hazardous.

After this time your only option is to discuss with your Bank/Card payment provider whether a claim for Non - receipt is possible.
