I have little faith in the projected introduction of the buyer protection scheme for several reasons, amongst my very first dealings with Ebay I encountered a non delivery report from a buyer and yet taking issue with the mail service they said it had been delivered, I ended up being £300 out of pocket.
Move on to the present, I am surprised by the number of people who fail to confirm delivery or engage with anything to do with the item or delivery.
My experience with deliveries to my home bring into question the number of times items are just left, exposed to anyone that may choose to relieve you of your goods and yet it will be logged as delivered and I dont live on a main public thoroughfare.
I really feel for people who live in apartments or blocks of flats where you may have gangs who follow a courier and take advantage of items just left outside the property.
In the event of a dispute I would not have much confidence in attempting to engage with either Ebay or the courier service.
