Negative feedback whilst in hospital

Hi everyone, hope someone can give me help/advice, here goes, in September I listed a pair of slippers to sell, and clicked to automatically relist if unsold, I fell down the stairs and was In hospital for 7 weeks having multiple surgeries, unbeknown to me my slippers sold!  I didn't have access to my eBay, and wasn't in any state to understand or communicate with anyone, so I WAS 100% and have been for nearly 30 years.

Because of this 1 neg eBay took my 100% away and I am now 67%??? This sounds very harsh to me, I only found this out recently, as I was able to access to my account, since September, any advice please apart from the obvious! 🥺🥺

The only feedback that counts is from the last year.  Your % is so low because you have so few recent feedbacks.

Requests to remove feedback have to be made within 30 days, so you are too late to get this feedback removed.

You could make some small purchases to get your feedback score improved if it is important for you.

Or, a more radical suggestion, you could open a new account and start afresh.

"There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.”
Søren Kierkegaard, Danish philosopher (1813 - 1855)

Adding to @jckl1957 's great advice you could add a follow up to the feedback apologising and that you are very sorry and that due to unforeseen circumstances etc . . . . up to you whether you mention being in hospital.

I hope you are feeling better after your accident.
