Negative feedback left for seller but eBay removed. What's the point?

An auction I won was cancelled by the seller because he didn't get what he wanted. I left him negative feedback, very honest and with no abuse or anything that goes against rules. The feedback was removed.

He has 4 negatives all for the same reason so clearly makes a habit out of cancelling.

Why has eBay removed it? I suspect he has had many more negatives which have been removed.

What a joke. How are sellers supposed to be warned of bad sellers??

There are feedback rules to follow , feedback is not just removed for abuse or bad language.

If you mention anything about a case,  a refund,  or any eBay involvement,  the seller can ask for this too be removed.

Frustrating and annoying I agree, when honest feedback is left , after a disappointing transaction,  but those are the rules.

Non of the above were mentioned.

It's clearly a case of eBay not wanting this seller to accumulate any further negative feedback.
