Need advice regarding a seller

I'll try to keep this short as possible. A seller sent wrong item. He got impatient with me as I'd messaged from the wrong listing. Any how , despite his less than desirable communications skills, he realised it was an error, and although no apology, pointed me to the Ebay policy i.e. send back. All fine I guess.

I set up the return and he got back saying that the item was the correct one that I ordered and sent the spec sheet; he was correct, (but the listing did not correspond to the spec sheet). He then said he was going to contest the return. I thought how? I had a look at the listing and he edited it so it is now correct. Luckily I did an iPhone recording that shows me stepping through the order to the description of the item.

I now have the item packed to send back, but this seems a complicated case. I can't seem to find a way to sent the video to Ebay as proof. Although I have told him I have the video as a follow up to my feedback after his followup rant. Is there a link for cases such as this? Thank you.

eBay do not require any videos of items being returned,  as it cannot be proved it's the actual item in question, so worry not,  no video is required.

You have packed the item, but have you opened a case for the return?  If not then proceed this way:

If you are still within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery you are guaranteed a full refund,  under eBay's 30 day MBG,  Money Back Guarantee policy.

You have received an item not as described,  go right of the item in your Purchase History and from More Actions select... Return this item selecting the reason Item Does Not Match Description or Photos.

The seller needs to accept this case within 3 days and refund,  if they want their item back first , they need to pay for that fully tracked return postage, then on receipt of their item they have 48 hours to refund you.  If they don't ,  need to escalate the case,  ask eBay to step in, and they'll force the refund.

Never listen to any excuse or promise from the seller to close the case early,  and do not forget to escalate.

In their response to your feedback they say they will leave you negative feedback.

Shows how little they know regarding the rules, as sellers cannot leave buyers negative feedback.
