Need Advice – eBay Withholding My Funds

Hey everyone,

I’m in a bit of a tough situation and could really use some advice. My eBay account has been restricted, and they’re withholding £1,009.89 of my funds. I’ve already provided all the proof for the orders I’ve sold, but they’re still holding onto my money. My listings have been ended for over two months, and I’m not selling on eBay anymore, so I honestly don’t know why they’re dragging this out.

They’re telling me my funds won’t be released for 170 days, but I know I’ve done everything I’m supposed to. I’m done waiting, and I really don’t think it should take this long. Has anyone been through something similar, or does anyone have any advice on what steps I can take next?

I’ve already escalated the issue with their support, but I want to know if there’s anything else I can do. Do you think I should contact a lawyer, or maybe escalate it in a different way? I’m honestly at my wit’s end here.

Thanks for any suggestions or tips you’ve got!

You don't say what the restrictions are about.

If you go against ebay policies, items you sold don't comply, your seller standards drop etc, etc.

They will hold funds in case of buyer chargebacks and unresolved issues.

All you can do is to timely comply with what they want and don't be afraid to ask them what they need/want you to do.

Only mentors can answer in this section of the forum and I am fairly certain that none of us have ever been in your situation.

If you have provided everything Ebay asked for, and spoken to Customer Support, I would guess it is now just a waiting game.  It does say in the User Agreement that Ebay may hold your funds for up to 180 days (I believe without checking) so legal advice might not be useful, but worth a try.

Have a look at similar posts by using the search option to see if there are any other sellers who can offer advice or solutions.
