I sold an item for around £6.50 minus the promotional fees.
EBay gave me 50p to withdraw.

That's a lot of a deduction even with a promotion added.  Are you buying postage labels from eBay?  This could account for more deductions.

Have you looked in Payments where all details of the transaction will be shown? We cannot see or  guess, but you have full details if you choose to look.
