Message not delivered

Hi guys,

I bought an item on eBay today, when prompted to by eBay to contact the seller to arrange collection I keep getting an error message appear that says 'Message not delivered' when sending the seller a message. I have tried it on the android mobile app, Chrome web browser and Microsoft desktop, and each time it gives me the same message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as eBay offer no help whatsoever

eBay blocks messages containing or requesting contact details until after payment.   If you have paid it may take a while for the system to update.

Doesn't seem right to me, I have never had this issue before, I have bought and paid for the item 3 hours ago, I have tried many different messages, all fail to send. 

The current situation I have is someone else has my money and no matter what channel I go down on eBay their  website just sends you in circles, they don't actually want to help you, no wonder less and less people are using eBay these days.

eBay recently changed the rules so now sellers are not allowed to accept cash on collection.   All payments have to go via ebay.   That means they've tightened up the blocking of messages regarding contact.

I have already paid, which means eBay have their money so there's no motivation for them to resolve the issue.
