Merge Uk and Ireland account or move to Ireland alone

Hi folks. I setup my eBay account back in 2003 when there was no Irish site. I was mostly a buyer over the years, but now I'm looking to sell some stuff I have lying around.

I have a login for the UK and Irish sites under the same name/account details, but when I sell it's based out of the UK despite me living in Ireland. It's come to my attention now that EU residents are being charged VAT by eBay for things I'm selling despite me posting from within the EU (as my account even says!).

Is this correct?

Can I change my country of registration to Ireland? If not, can I setup a new account linked to my 20+ year old account with over 1k of 100% positive feedback?

Any help appreciated.

Accounts cannot be transferred, and while you could open a new account, track record since 2003 would not be taken into account. If you mean feedback, that also is not transferable.

If your account says registered in the UK and you are mainly selling in Ireland, then Irish VAT would be payable as the UK is not in the EU, and your sales treated as imports.

Thank you. That is devastating really, 20+ years of history worthless.
