Low-value products

My question is how Eb sees selling low-value products after the recent changes.

After the last changes, the listing is becoming pointless for me personally, especially for low-value products. The shipping cost is higher than the cost of the product, and deciding to promote it is complete nonsense. Online competition is very high, so I don't understand why eBay is going in this direction.

If sellers in this price range pull out, there will be no buyers, right?

The changes should not apply to you.  They apply to sellers getting rid of unwanted personal possessions or collections.

You can increase your shipping price and nobody has to promote their items.

Business sellers who sell low cost items will continue to do so - they rely on selling multiple items and Ebay has not done anything to discourage those sales.

The Buyers Protection Fee and payment holds only apply to private sellers.  You could avoid both of those things by upgrading to a business account.

Do I need a business account?

If you plan to sell casually, such as selling items you no longer want, a private account is the best option.

If you want to sell large quantities, if you have items that you've made or bought to resell or if you already have a business outside of eBay, you’ll need to register a business account.
