Listing on other accounts where permission has been granted

Ive being given access to a clients account and have been given permission to create listings.

I see a blue banner on top of the listing page stating that I am accessing my clients account, I create the listing and publish but it appears on my personal account , has this happened for anyone else or can anyone explain why this may be happening?

Probably something to do with email address. Not sure how you can get round this, as ebay identify you as making a listing from your email.

Are you logging in to your clients account, using his email address?

I assume this relates to the permission you have, does it help resolve your problem?

Listing on other accounts where permission has been granted

Hi there
I’m logged in on my account but a blue banner at the top of the page states that I’m acting on behalf of my clients account. I’ve listed for other clients previously without a problem

If you have done exactly as previously, when it has worked as intended, I am afraid I have no idea why it now does not work.

Only ebay should be able to explain, but I suspect that CS would have no idea.

As you're acting for a client I assume that you're not logging in the client's connected device. Most of the account crossover queries we receive here areis because two registered users are sharing the same conencted device, but failing to clear the browser cache between sessions.

It sounds as though you may have stumbled on an eBay security system, by which they're able to detect a login attempt when providing an account's correct login, but from an IP address that is associated with a different user.

As none of us know what security systems eBy employs it's hard to suggest how to overcome this. Maybe you could use a VPN to conceal your IP address, but this is almost treating yourself as a criminal!

Thanks for your help - just to further confuse things, my Client has two accounts selling similar but distinct products . I can access one and list products without any issue on one of them. Could it be possibly be associated with how the accounts were set up ?
