Link in purchased goes to the wrong item

I purchased an item and just had it delivered. I am not sure if I have made a mistake or the seller misdescribed the item. When I click on the item picture in my purchased list it goes to a different item. How can I stop it redirecting as I need to check the listing before I can make a complaint.

Find the email you received from Ebay when you paid.

There will be a link to the item you purchased there. If you follow that, you will be able to see the original listing and all the photos.

That link also goes to a different item than the one I purchased.

I don't know how that can happen.

Is the item you have received the one shown in the email?

Is the title the item you bought or is it a different item?
Is it possible that you made an error?

The picture of the item is the one I bought which I paid about £50 for. When you click the picture it shows a different item with totally different pictures, different heading and the new item hasn't yet sold and is going for £120. It is an item in the same category as the one I bought but a different listing.

A user sent me a private message to say add

onto the end of the link, that worked.

I would guess that because the original item sold and was no longer an active listing, ebay took you a similar listing. Not very helpful, but ebay does not see things through the eyes of a buyer.

A really dumb feature. If I have purchased an item, I should be able to still see the item.

Also a really easy way to cause confusion as it never told me it was going to a different item.
