Levi's Jeans Real or ....

Probably been asked a thousand times but do all Levi's modern  and vintage have the 3 or 4 digit factory code on the top buttton ? Or are there or have there ever been ones with blank buttons or with circles on the back of them ? I'm asking for my wife who wanted to try reselling who has gone and purchased a few pairs which were obviously cheap but from someone shutting down a shop. We can see the obvious real ones but there are some that look right except for the button. Any help and info greatly welcome,

Like a lot of items there are plenty of fakes around.

For Levi's ...."Look for a 3-4 digit style number stamped on the back of the waist button. It should match the number printed on the care label. If your jeans are missing any of these things, they might be fake".
