Large item broken . Too damaged to return

Item broken on delivery it's too broken to return,packaging wasn't enough to protect item.what do I do.

You still need to open a return using "item damaged" as the reason.   If it was a private seller they will have used ebay's Simple Delivery and eBay will issue the refund themselves.   You will not be required to return the item.


If it was a business seller they wouldn't have used SD and if necessary escalate your case to eBay after 3 complete working days.

Do I need to return knitting machine as can't see eBay seller wanting it.

You still haven't told us whether it was a private or a business seller.

 

If it was a private seller using simple delivery eBay will refund you. The seller is not involved and keeps their payment. So there is no return required.

 

If it was a business seller they are entitled to ask for the item to be returned, if they wish. If so, they would have to send a prepaid return label or otherwise arrange and pay for the return.
