Item not received

I purchased an item it wasn't delivered to my address but to a drop off point. This item was sent back to the retailer as stated by themselves and for me to repurchase I would have to pay delivery costs which I refused and asked for a refund. That was over a week ago, when I contacted ebay they have come back saying case closed as I received the item at my address so no refund . How can someone say they have looked into this and the item was received at my address when it clearly states in zn email it went to a drop off point.??

Did you request a drop off point, ie  Click and Collect, if so delivery to address provided is classed as delivered.

If you did not then trying to persuade ebay it should have been delivered elsewhere can be a lost cause.

Suggest you speak to your payment provider.

I didn't request a drop off, I managed to speak to someone at ebay and they
have taken another look at my case. The outcome, I received an email saying
item was stolen and now my money is being refunded. So a good result but
the stress of trying to sort it out I could have well done without. There
is nothing more annoying than waiting in all day to be told no-one was in
so they couldn't deliver.
