Refund when item not required back

How do I return an item for refund where the seller has messaged in ebay to say he doesn't want the item returned and will refund?  It seems I'm forced to choose a Royal Mail option but it's not needed.

You open ebay case, seller refunds through it, case closes.

You do not have to get involved with RM. That only applies if returning, then depending on reason for return that decides who pays for postage.

Have you opened a return case, if do then seller just refunds through the case. Do not rely on any Promises, they cannot be enforced.
