Item not as described, bought ring from Australia for my granddaughter and it is not as described.

I bought a Ring, described as “Stunning Vintage Gold Filled Opal Dress Ring

The classic Antique Cluster setting is 1.6 cm wide and sits 8 mm high

All of the gorgeous stones are all present and securely claw set

A stunning Statement Ring, in very good condition, with minimal wear

Well it’s new, there are other identical rings (except for size) on the seller's

site.  Moreover, it is of very poor quality made of copper with synthetic stones, some of which have fallen out. Overall it is not vintage with false stones and made of copper.

I have tried writing to the seller with no response, so may I ask Ebay to help on my behalf?  wrote this letter to Ebay UK as if I use the autmated systems it just sends me round in a circle with no means of recourse. Any suggestions, please

We are members like you, not ebay.

On every listing right side BUY WITH CONFIDENCE, click and read the money back guarantee.

You open a not as described case, to arrange return for a full refund. If no responce from seller then you ESCALATE the case to ebay.

Ebay only get involved if you follow the system, and escalate the case if seller does not respond.

Click on "Return this item" on right of your order on your Purchases page and select "Doesn't match description" as the reason.   Escalate it to ebay after 3 complete working days.

Thanks for the advice, but the seller has removed the listing, so I can see
the purchase, but when i click to open, it has been withdrawn.

What happens when you click on the blue 'Start a return' button on this eBay guidance page, can you see your order?

The seller can't remove the ring or details from your purchases.  That is where you must look, not on the seller's page.

When did you actually receive the ring?

Re: Item not as described, bought ring from Australia for my granddaughter and it is not as describe

Received 7th August, Grandaughter was away and did not tell of the suspect
item until she returned. However, it's not vintage (they sell identical
rings on the site) , the stones are synthetic and it's made of Copper, so
even though it was a little while before I knew the item was not as
described, it does not alter the fact that it's a false description.

Ebay MBG is only for 30 days after purchase, so they won't get involved now.

Try your payment provider, they may help.

As advised, you are too late to ask Ebay for help.

Buyers are well protected as you can return any item that is 'not as described' but you do have to start the return within 30 days.

The core of a 'gold filled' ring is often copper, so, that part of the description was not inaccurate.
