Item being sold

A buyer says she's not received her item but I have not sold anything, I'm not even in the uk , my eBay shows I sold her a doll but I haven't,  now ebay want me to refund her but I've had no payment  plus  you only get payment when  item has been received,  I think my account was hacked,  Ebay are not any help at all, just keep asking me to do a refund,  something  not right

Re: Item being sold

Your account is definitely showing the sale if an expensive doll.  If you have no knowledge of this, then it does look like your account is hacked.

You do need to contact eBay Customer Services,  but I recommend contacting CS only first thing in the morning at 8 a.m. on weekdays  when the lines open for ' live agents '.  Then,  there's more chance of Dublin answering.  Report your findings,  they need to block your account and investigate this serious matter.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

You can see the sold doll in your completed listings.

Have you checked in payments to see if you actually received the money for this sale?

Even if no funds have been released to you, the buyer would have to pay through Ebay and the money would go to your account.

Check the sold item in 'orders' and look at 'order details' where you will see details of the buyer's payment.

Before you contact Customer Services, if you can show that no payment went through your Ebay account and the funds are not being held in your account, that would encourage them to deal with it.

Generally, when accounts are hacked, the hackers list either dozens of expensive items or at least a few high end items so this is a very strange situation indeed.

Also check and see what bank details are registered to your account.

It is definitely worth having a look at the email account associated with your Ebay account.

There you will find details of when the doll was listed, when you were informed of the sale etc.

Is it possible that somebody else used your account to make this listing?  I don't mean your account was hacked but that it was accessed by somebody you know.
