I purchased this iPhone 17 pro max now I feel like this is a scam upon reading on forums I have not recived the item but seller has 2 reviews and account opened since 2023 I've also noticed after buying.s the photo of the iPhone 17 is being used on another diffrent account. Which has raised my doubts I have heard scammers tamper with delivery address keeping the postcode same and changing the house number to near my actual address so it picks up on the GPS seller marks as delivered and so does royal mail and when u open a case of item not arrived ebay believes the seller ofc if the item is delivered to the right address im covered by ebay money back but what if he tampers with label? Can someone please advise should I wait or contact ebay before the item arrives ive attached a photo please someone help im so stressed

You cannot contact Customer Services before the item arrives, they'll just tell you to wait, until at least, one day after the item's last estimated date for delivery.
It is worth waiting even a few days after that, as the post lately has been very slow. Don't worry too much about identical photos seen, eBay have a library of photos for sellers to use when selling brand new items. Some ' lazy' sellers use these for used items they are selling, and if it's not a new item, they're opening themselves up for cases for item not as described.
Don't worry too much beforehand, but if you don't receive your item a reasonable time after its last estimated date for delivery, proceed this way:

When a seller tampers with a address, the buyer needs to get written evidence from the courier that the address the item was delivered to was not the one they used at checkout.
That helps in any claim they make with ebay.
But it may not come to that. Most current scams involve the item going missing entirely, so an easy 'not received' case.
