If a buyer doesn't return item do i have to refund ive already paid postage for it to be sent back.

Buyer insists she's posted item back, accusing me of it being delivered but not wanting to pay back. I've checked on delivery still says accepted at their post office  8.08.25 but no other delivery status. I've tried getting ebay involved but not much help, say the same  delivery still in transit?? Advice would be great

Has the buyer opened an official eBay return case/request ? --- Do not make any refund without a return and only respond through the case --- let the buyer case proceed to end time.

Ebay don't expect you to refund until the tracking shows the item has been delivered back to you.

If it isn't back with you by the date it has to be returned, I assume Ebay will close the case in your favour, even if the item has been posted.

The buyer may be able to claim against Royal Mail but that is not your issue.

Thank you for your response Ebay haven't really responded to my question, just keep saying been posted, wait for delivery, contact sellet, I've done all of these, with very rude reply from buyer, now been waiting 12 daysI expect QR code has been generated at post office, but not been posted back, but who knows?JoSent from my Galaxy

For ebay to get involved, buyer would need tracked proof of item being received back by you.

Therefore nothing for you to do until returned.

Thank you all for responding, buyer was found in favour and Ebay refunded.  Further to them investigating it was found buyer couldn't supply a return postage receipt so I was then refunded but not my return postage!
