Do I pay  seperate postage for each box? Also I noticed I am paying the postage which I thought was always paid by the buyer.

Hi sarah-jenni, thanks for your post.

In this case to keep it simple and prevent the boxes from splitting and potentially getting lost from each other during transit, I normally recommend to tape them together or wrap them together and the stick the label to one of the sides and that will count as one parcel, and it should be ok with courier.

If you have Simple Delivery, and you didn't set up free postage for the buyer, then yes, the buyer pays, you just need to download the label provided.

Thankyou Marco. Unfortunately the boxes were too big to tape together and
although i had Simple Delivery I had to pay postage (£17.20). The Post
Office thought I could claim a refund from ebay but I have no idea how to
do this. Any suggestions?! I have receipt and photos.

You listed as free delivery which means you pay for the simple delivery label.  If you don't use the label you can claim a refund. 

The way to do that is explained in Ebay's guidance.
