Cancel the label and buy your own from a courier website.  Go to orders, select Postage Labels on the left-hand side, then go to the actions dropdown menu next to the label and select Void Label.

When you buy your own postage remember to add the tracking number and mark dispatched manually via the dropdown actions arrow for the item on your orders page.

Thanks for this, however as ebay did the postage bit in "simple delivery" it won't let me cancel or void. I have had to cancel the whole thing and start again. Fortunately the buyer is understanding.

Did you put the right weight on the listing?

No. I didn't have the exact weight till it was packaged up for sale. Then there is no option to change.

You have weigh and measure packed item before listing,

Otherwise you get error like you have.

Yes thanks - I now know. in the past i've sorted my own postage so could accommodate slight changes.

This is the problem with simple delivery. 

It's not clear if you can opt out of it in February.
