Husbands death, account in credit for £800

Can you help me please?

My hsband sadly passed away in January and I have sent all of the information required to Ebay. His account is £800 in credit. Iam his next of kin and only surviving relative. Ebay want a will or legal document in order to reimburse me. I simply dont have it all of the other transactions including selling a house. My husband died without a will and all of his assets have reverted to me as the sole beneficiary. Do you have any advice?

If you are using a solicitor to deal with his assets,

ask them for advice.

Or try contacting ebay CS 1st thing in the morning, should get Dublin.

A chat with Citizens Advice may be useful here.

However, as there was no will it is likely that you will need to obtain a 'letter of administration' to confirm that you are the sole beneficiary of your late husband's estate.

As I said, a chat with Citizens Advice would be a useful first step.
