How will Ebay know when a buyer has received their purchase ?

Tracked second class mail is well over double the price of 'untracked' mail. How will eBay know when a buyer has received their purchase, and then trigger payment to the seller. Will they be expecting the buyer to inform them, this is'nt going to work. I have a 100% positive Ebay feedback record, however, over 75% of buyers never leave feedback, does eBay think that every buyer will inform them that they have received their purchase ?

You should read all of the email.

Feedback (as always) will be irrelevant as it is voluntary and there is no mechanism for buyers to mark items as received.

I don't know why so many posts mention feedback; it is not mentioned at all in the email received today.

If tracking shows delivery, you will be paid 2 days later.

No tracking, you will be paid 14 days after posting.

It is more the case that ebay would be informed by the buyer via an open case if an  item was not received.

Most buyers are honest so nothing should really change regards needing to inform ebay they received items.Tracked item delivery will also update ebay on items that have been delivered.
