How to do combined postage of one item paid for an one not, how to send an invoice showing correct p

Have recently listed 2 items, one on Buy Now and the other Auction method, a buyer bought the Buy Now but interested in the Auction item and wanted me to delay posting the first one till they saw if second item they won.

They have paid the Buy Now item and Ebay managing money/postage label. They now won 2nd item and want a combined postage on the two items, they have not yet paid the 2nd item.  I have enabled combined postage on posting preferences on my account.  When I look at the 2nd item it shows  the cost but no postage so I suggested to her to check if that was what she sees she said postage still on it. How do I send an invoice for the second item with no postage on??? I have gone round in circles on the help pages and not found any advice that helps.  When I click on 'send invoice' a message says Ebay managing payments can not send an invoice ????

You cannot.  Once one item has been paid you cannot combine postage.  Postage on invoices can only be amended before a payment is made.

You can wait for the other auction to end as long as there is not a long delay, you don't want late postage defects, post them together and reduce the postage on the second invoice, this can only be done if the buyer does not pay immediately, but waits for the amended invoice.

Or, post this one as it's paid for, if they win the second auction if you wish , reduce the postage on that invoice, and then at least you will have 2 tracking numbers to cover you .

Thank you for that advice, I had thought maybe because one already paid I couldn't combine postage. I want to go in and change the second postage or remove it as I think it will all be able to send for same price as first items BUT I can't seem to find what page I go on to do that. I have looked at orders but can't see how I actually change and send an invoice as I just keep getting told Ebay in charge of payments message..
I had messaged buyer to say I am looking into it and she replied no problem if its easier she will pay the invoice and I can refund her the difference for postage - BUT if Ebay in charge of payments who can return the postage? I want to try and understand this process in case it should happen again.
