How do I get ebay to actually do anything? An item I bought has been declared counterfeit by the mfr

I purchased an item in July and just started using it. But it doesn't work and the manufacturer has declared it counterfeit. The order item has been marked as in breach on the order screen. But I have had no response from the supplier or anything positive from ebay. What advice can anyone offer please?

If you purchased the item believing to be a genuine item, then the only recourse at present is to talk to your payment provider.

As the item is over 30 days old ebay wont be interested in helping you per se.
