Help with cancelling/Refunding an item

I recently bought an item on eBay. A day or so later, I requested to cancel the order, because I changed my mind. The request was denied due to the seller “dispatching” the item a couple of days later (although im unsure what stage of dispatch it got to- since it’s untracked). So at that point I had just accepted the order wasn’t going to get cancelled. Then randomly the seller messages me saying they have cancelled the order (note that this seller is very trustworthy, so I’m not necessarily saying the seller is dodgy or anything) after not saying anything up to this point. But I can’t see anything about a refund coming, and since the cancellation request was denied and the item is now marked as dispatched (even though it isn’t according to the seller, and that they’ve cancelled it) I can’t request for another cancellation/refund. I’ve been talking to the seller’s customer support and they want me to contact eBay support directly, since apparently the refund is being blocked by the denied cancellation request. It’s a complete and utter hassle trying to directly get hold of eBay customer support, so I’m hoping there’s a quick solution.

You will need to contact CS but I recommend you contact them first thing when lines first open for ' live agents', at 8 a.m. on weekdays,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

As said I  recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning, at 8 a.m. for more chance of Dublin answering.
