Guaranteed purchasers

It seems that non uk sellers do not uphold guarantees and ebay take no action once the purchase is more than 90 days old. Are ebay liable for allowing companies to advertise guarantees which are not upheld? Do platforms have guarantees?

Many UK sellers don't honour guarantees here either, and even manufacturers' warranties are liable to be invalid for items bought on eBay.

Buying from unknown sellers on eBay is NOT like buying from the shops or reputable online retailers. The user agreement even warns buyers that listings are entirely the responsibility of the seller. eBay does not guarantee the quality of items, that descriptions will be truthful or accurate or that items for sale will be safe, legal - or even exist. Would you have bought from a shop that stated this?

eBay's own money back guarantee lasts or just 30 days from delivery (not 90 days!). From day 31 they will not be involved, whatever happens.

These are the conditions you accepted. Buyers should read them - eBay is a jungle.
