Getting money out of eBay

I have recently sold two items which have been paid for but , for reasons known only to eBay, they have not transferred the money to my account. There is no dispute and my account is not on hold for any other reason. None of the articles on the site are of any help nor new any previous community threads. I have no facility on my account page to withdraw funds (although of course this was the case in the past). The automated help is utterly useless and seems to want to answer questions of no relevance at all and when I did manage to get a call back though I could hear the call centre noise in the background no-one answered and they simply hung up. Can anyone help as I really need the money!

From 16 October 2024, private sellers no longer have a payout schedule, as part of the launch of eBay balance. eBay balance lets you use the earnings from your sales to pay for items, postage labels, and cover other selling costs on eBay.co.uk. You can still withdraw your payouts on demand to send your funds directly to your linked bank account.

See more information on payouts on demand and eBay balance below.

Getting money out of eBay

eBay do not automatically send money to your bank account anymore , the system for withdrawal has changed greatly.

Payouts from sales go into your eBay Balance,  and as long as there is no hold on that money, there is for new and returning sellers , and the money is in the Available section of your Payment summary then you need to withdrw the money now yourself.

Stangely some members have found this works on some devices and not on others,  so worth trying on apps / PC and laptops use Chrome, until you find the combination that works for you.

Click on Payments >>  Summary then any payout available for immediate withdrawal,  is available for you, in a big blue banner.

Click on the  >  arrow,   top right you may need to log in again, or even verify your account by receiving a text or email code.

Your eBay  balance will show at the top, cliick on withdraw bottom right.

On the pop up screen which appears, at the top,  there's a large,  bolder £ sign, and flashing sign beside it.  There,  you add the amount you wish to withdraw. At the bottom.... Send £*** Now click on this.

A notification appears... Your Money is on its Way.  Click on this and then on Done.

Money is then sent to your nominated bank account and it will depend on your banks processing times,  as to when you are able to withdraw the money.  Some banks are faster than others.

You have had a long break from selling have you fully registered for eBay's Managed payments?  All sellers have to do this too,  to receive payouts from sales.

Totally unhelpful. You clearly haven't taken any notice of what I said.
