Gas mask

The gas mask has been removed from eBay. Why? There’s another gas mask on sale on eBay from another seller.

Gas masks are not allowed to be sold on eBay and are removed when found by the bots or reported

This below is eBay's policy on gas masks as some are allowed to be listed.

• Military Item Policy:

  eBay's policy prohibits the sale of items with a "significant military or intelligence applicability". While this is a broad term, it generally doesn't ban all gas masks. Specifically, items designed, configured, or adapted for military use are prohibited. 
• Asbestos:

  Gas masks, especially older ones, can contain asbestos, which is illegal to sell and mail. 
• Other Restrictions:

  eBay also has policies regarding hazardous materials, offensive materials, and items that violate other UK laws. 
• "Demilitarized" or "Unserviceable" Status:

  Even if a gas mask has been made "unserviceable" or "demilitarized," it may still be subject to the military items policy if it's still considered to have military or intelligence applicability.

If you think a listing should not be on the site and breaks the rules, then you can report it to Ebay.

Every listing has a little blue question mark bottom right.

Use that to begin your complaint.

There are over 7 billion listings on eBay at any one time,  so impossible to check each and every one, and some invariably slip the net and become listed.

There is a  report button on the right hand side of every listing,  eBay rely on members to report items which breach their selling regs., too.

When those items are spotted and reported like yours was,  they too will be removed.

Why are the gas mask still on eBay?

You haven't read the user agreement. eBay makes it clear that they do not review listings or their content, which are the entire responsibility of the seller.

However, there is a link in every listing for members to report alleged contraventions of eBay's listing policies. So if it's still for sale, have you reported it yet?
