Funds available within 24 hours of order delivery

Hi,

"Funds available within 24 hours of order delivery"

This is new to me and causing issues with ebay releasing payments.

Does it mean I can no longer send untracked letters? I can still see that my competitors are sending by untracked letters. Will my funds still be released, if so after how long?

I send alot of items by untracked letter, if a buyer complains of a not received I usually just refund as its more cost effective overall than paying the extra postage for large letter, but i'm wondering if I'll still get paid with this new ebay update.

That is correct,  we think Simple Delivery will become mandatory for Private sellers sometime before the end of March.

This means tracking will have to show delivery and  when it does, payout for that sale will be released within 2 days.

If there is no tracking to show delivery the payout will be held for 14 days.

In the days when paypal was used, money had to be withdrawn, it was never sent unless it was withdrawn.

In most cases I am sure sellers did not withdraw every penny on a daily basis, and never saw all the fuss then about having to wait a few days for money. As now I used to leave it, until it was a sum worth withdrawing or alternatively available to pay for purchases.

What has changed, did sellers trust paypal but distrust ebay.

I thought these payment delays were due to buyer protection which hasn't come in yet, are they also part of Simple Delivery?

It is Buyer Protection from 4th Feb.
