I sold on eBay over a year
Always receiving excellent feedback
Until I sold my campervan
The buyer ran off with the van without paying
The police were obviously brought in
And eventually I got my money
He left me terrible up setting feedback
I left eBay totally
Now iam back to try again only to discover eBay have not removed the horrible, feedback from 6 months
Really upsetting
I've tried doing it my self, even tried going through eBay
Any help would be appreciated

You actually have two negatives in the last 12 months.
They will stay on your feedback but will stop being counted in about 6 months time.
The problem is that they will stay on the front page unless you receive lots of feedback, and even then it depends how the member sorts the feedback.
You might want to consider a new account.

We've stopped being amazed by any wrong information Customer Services provide, they cannot remove that feedback, as it is too old.
I see this person purchased 2 items from you left bad feedback for both, one lesson to be learned block any unpleasant / nuisance buyer from returning to your sales. Block them in your Site Preferences or keep this link safe.

Unfortunately, leaving eBay completely for several months was the wrong thing to do. The feedback wasn't going to disappear!
You should have left a response, putting your side of the case. You could also have asked eBay to review the feedback, particularly if you had a crime report number relating to the buyer taking the campervan without paying. (By "running off" do you mean that they literally grabbed the keys and did a runner? If you let them take a test drive and didn't bring it back, or thay paid but the payment bounced, these would have been a different situation altogether.)
The fact that the buyer bought two, entirely unrelated items from you and left bad feedback for both could also suggest that one purchase at least was made deliberately to leave malicious feedback.
There is obviously a more complicated story here, but to ask eBay to review these feedbacks you would have had to act withn 30 days. I'm afraid it's too late now.
