False refund claim from buyer

Hello,

I sent a buyer with no feedback the item they bought. They delayed payment, then claimed it hasn’t arrived when it said it was delivered, finally they admitted they received they item but claimed it was damaged. It was a sealed dvd and they ripped the seal. I packed it in bubblewrap and brown paper in a box so there is no way it could have ripped the seal during shipping. I believe they did this to get the refund. I now have to pay shipping for a refund when they caused damaged and can’t now sell it for the valued price as they damaged it. Issue is I’m up in U.K. and they’re in Italy and it seems that postage back is more than the item cost itself.

eBay is not helping. When I request to call an agent they say it can only be a USA or Canada phone number. There was no option to ask eBay to step in like their contact centre said. When I pressed refund buyer for a return, the Parcel2Go option said there are no open orders so I can’t buy a cheaper return label through them.

It is ridiculous I’m being scammed by a buyer and spending out of pocket for this order. Do I have any options or is it time to find a more seller friendly site?

If it's the steelbook you sent via Global Shipping and they accept responsibility for damage after receiving it at their shipping centre.

Reply to the case stating it was a GSP delivery and include your tracking proving delivery to GSp and they should authorize the rrefund and you keep your payment.
