False RRP prices.

Why do Ebay let sellers lie about the Recommended Retail Prices? So many sellers are claiming items where twice the price they really were. Its that false advertising? Is that legal?

eBay warns buyers in the user agreement that "they do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions". Would you buy from a shop that stated this?

Don't expect buying on eBay to be like buying from a shop. eBay is a jungle.

With millions of items on the site, there is no way that Ebay could check the accuracy of sellers' listings.

As with every retail transaction, the buyer should check the details and make a decision based on their research.
