Fake item

I was sold a fake item for a substantial amount of money. I requested a return but the seller declined.  How do I go about getting a refund? Thank you.

Re: Fake item

Did you actually start a return on ebay?    If not do that on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/returns-refunds/return-item-refund?id=4041
select "Doesn't match description" and escalate it to eBay after 3 complete working days.

Re: Fake item

Thank you for the reply. Yes I have already done this. The seller has
declined my request.

Re: Fake item

What reason did you select for the return?

If you chose "Doesn't match description or pictures" the seller cannot decline

Re: Fake item

They also can't decline if you opened it for a not as described reason in time.

Anyway, as they have managed to close the case your only resource is to try a claim through your funding source.

It would help to provide more information when asking questions. You haven't given nor received any recent feedback, so we can't even see the listing.

What was your seller's returns policy? (This will be stated in the listing.)

If they accept returns, but refuse to honour this policy, you can contact eBay to have your return request upgraded to a money back guarantee case.

UK business sellers are required to accept returns, but private sellers are not.
