Evri shop Refusing to accept packages that don't fit letterbox-size

Hi All,

Just thought I'd share this and add it to the Simple Delivery debacle.

I just tried to send a few (single) golf clubs (both boxes well within Evri's size/weight limits, and something I've done at this shop dozens of times before).

The guy behind the counter told me the Evri driver won't take anything bigger than letterbox size.  So he took the 3 little packages off me, but refused the bigger ones with the golf clubs.

I just tried to contact Evri, but there is no category for this with their chat-bot.

I've used Yodel (£2.69) for years without issues.  Now Simple Delivery forces me to use either Evri or pay nearly £14 to use Royal Mail (not viable on the value of the sales)

I'm dumbfounded by ebay and now Evri.  Anyone had an experience like this or got any suggestions, please?

Cheers.

I sell an average of 2 or 3 items a week (some weeks, nothing at all).  The 2 clubs I just tried to send were going to make profits of £8.50 and £11.  So Business account not viable.

Oh, and about 20% of what I sell, I sell for pals I play golf with and/or family (all of whom find ebay daunting or don't have accounts).

ebay has really become a car crash.  I'd imagine this is all part of the ongoing 'nudge' to get people to switch to a business account, but for some like me it is not viable.  No wonder Vinted are trouncing ebay.

I think ebay, along with Sky, has to be one of the most despised companies around.
