Error: exceeding the maximum order amount

I'm getting this error on checkout: "You've exceeded the maximum order amount. Please remove some items or contact the seller for an updated total."

when selecting, for example quantity of 2, this error disappears.

anyone know why this happens?

thanks.

Error: exceeding the maximum order amount

There are activity limits for new buyers.   Adding a credit card to your ebay account for verification should help.   In My eBay go to Account tab, towards top left > Payment information > Payments > click on Add Payment Option.

Sellers can restrict the number of items they sell to new members with low feedback in a single transaction.

That may be what is happening here.

You could try buying a smaller quantity or you could contact the seller, ask them if they have such a restriction, and ask them if they will allow you to buy a larger quantity.

Already did that, also, worth to mention that when selecting quantity of 3 the error reappears. Only for quantity of 2 do I see this error.

The seller says they have no knowledge on this issue.
