Ebay just sold an item of mine two days after the auction ended for the start amount.

Obviously I can cancel this but I want to report the issue and have ebay own and fix it.

Any thoughts?

It may have been on auto relist.   That's something you can cancel during the listing process before you submit (or revise current listings without bids).   It's under pricing options on the far right.

Re: Ebay just sold an item of mine two days after the auction ended for the start amount.

Perhaps you can explain what you mean? How can ebay fix your auction?

The item sold to day the 14th at 8.33, was listed 10 days ago at 8.33, so where does 2 days come into it, and Ebay sold, YOUR AUCTION ENDED after its full listing time.

As you say you can cancel but without the buyers agreement you will get a damaging defect, for failing to honour a sale.

Re: Ebay just sold an item of mine two days after the auction ended for the start amount.

The item you sold today was listed previously and ended as unsold on December 1st so I'm not sure how it was sold?

It was relisted and sold today for the minimum bid. As advised above, you must have had it on auto relist but it was definitely= unsold the first time round.

Even as a realist (of a 10 day auction) it should not have sold on the first bid substantially below the buy it now option.

Re: Ebay just sold an item of mine two days after the auction ended for the start amount.

Your item must have auto relisted.  Auctions can relist for up to 8 times if unsold.

A Buy it Now price is not a ' Reserve'  so it will disappear when the first bid is placed and yes,  it then can sell for one bid for under that Buy it Now Price.

The golden rule for auctions is to always start them for the lowest amount you are happy to receive,  it cannot sell for less.  Then,  if you receive only one bid,  which more than often happens,  you will have acheived the price you wanted.

Thanks for the reply. It's not that it auto resisted, it's that the auction didn't run for the 10 days the list was set for.It relisted on Thursday and sold two days later after 1 bid.afaict it sold/closed immediately there was a bid.
