Hi - i posted an item and used simple delivery from ebay who assigned Evri to this. The item was NOT delivered to the buyer (Evri stated "address issue" on tracking info and they put "return to sender" so it was returned back to ME. In doing so it was marked as "Delivered" on ebay (Yet the buyer has not received it!)
Cannot seem to contact ebay to help sort this out as it is obvious evri's mistake has put the buyer out of pocket - yet ebay have no way of helping either myself or the buyer through this because they have made it absolutely impossible to contact them for assistance.
Can someone please advise on the simplest way to resolve this please?
I cannot even get through to ebay customer services - reminds me why i am using this less and less. So many simpler alternatives available i ask myself why i put myself through this convoluted illogical nonsense...
Thanks in advance

You could issue a refund and then relist for them to buy again. Ask the buyer to check their address details on ebay before buying.

That would be a pain. The buyer has already stated it is an evri issue as other couriers deliver fine. He is happy to pay again for postage and for me to repost with another courier. The point is that with this being a "Simple Delivery" service from ebay they claim all issues will be dealt with by them - yet they have disappeared and are making it impossible for any resolution.
I don't believe i should have to cater for their laziness and wait another week for a listing to send to another buyer.
Is there any way to make ebay pick up these issues in their "simple delivery" problems and address them logically?

In this particular case, as you have the item back and the buyer's payment, the solution suggested by @**peaseblossom** is simple and obvious.
The problem seems to be with Evri rather than Ebay. Trying to get Ebay to resolve this will become unnecessarily complicated.
I would advise the same - cancel, refund, relist as a buy it now for the original buyer to buy again.
Or, use their address from the label on the parcel. Write their name and address on the parcel and take it to the Post Office to send again.
