Hi all
so I bought a shirt from a seller on Ebay and the seller sent it out with Evri , it was due to be delivered on wed last week I then get a message saying there was a 24 hr delay on the delivery. I didn’t hear anything else from Evri for another 3 days when they said the shirt had been delivered at 02.49 am on that same day, obviously I didn’t take delivery of a shirt from Evri at 02.49am and I thought EBay would get that, there was no photo proof or gps proof other than the courier said it had been delivered. EBay refused my item not received case and said it was delivered. I then started an appeal, thinking that surely they would understand that couriers do not work or deliver at 02.49 am but again they refused my case.
I just got off the phone with them and they point blank refused to refund me as they say it was delivered according to the courier and didn’t care about the time he says he delivered it or the fact there is no proof of delivery.
what’s the point of buyer protection if your not protected? Absolutely joke .

Unfortunately this is a weak point with the money back guarantee. You might have more luck with a claim through your funding source.

eBay's procedures are so automated that you can't assume they will "understand" anything.
It goes by the tracking record. Basically, buyers have to disprove this to win an appeal. Which is not easy - for example, eBay won't even take that buyer's word that a photo of the door with the item delivered isn't even their door! Some buyers have been told that they must somehow obtain a written admission by Evri that theiur item was not correcty delivered.
This is not helped by the fact that eBay has structured its activities in a way which means their money back guarantee is not regulated by the financial conduct authority. This means that users have no right to any independent appeal against their decisions.
Delivery isues have become on of the biggest risks of buying on eBay. How did you pay? For example, if you pid or funded the payment from a credit or debit card your card issuer may be able to help. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, yes I get the automated system is not much help in a case like this but I actually spoke with someone to, no help at all. I paid with my debit card so will have to speak with my bank and see if they can help.
