EBay is a scam

I keep getting fobbed off by the so called help team that I’ll get my money back tomorrow, well tomorrow never comes it’s been 2 weeks and counting this is what happens when this *bleep* site allows scammers to sell you things and when you want your money back they keep it

Re: EBay is a scam

Nope,   that's not how it works on here if you follow the rules exactly,  and understand the rules and policies.

It's obvious you are angry through all your shouting here,  but you haven't given us any clue as to what has happened.

Have you returned an item and eBay have told you that a refund has been made?  Then,  refunds are not instant, and once eBay notify you the refund is made,  being processed,  then it's not instantly returned to you,  and does go back to original payment source.

If you paid with PayPal it goes back to your PayPal account fairly swiftly.

Paying with a debit / bank card?  Can take up to 12 days to appear back in your bank account.

Credit card payment?  This takes the longest,  up to 30 days to appear back in the card account used.

If the above is not what happened , please come back and explain,  but don't shout, we are members like yourself,  just here,  trying to help.

Re: EBay is a scam

Hi there , the problem I have is that I ordered 2 simple phone chargers and
the seller I brought them from says 2-3 days delivery once I purchased them
it changed to 10 days I asked eBay for a refund but was told I had to wait
10days so I did and they didn’t turn up I asked eBay for a refund they said
I had to wait another 5 days , I also told the seller I want a refund I was
told by the help team “don’t worry you won’t need to contact us again I
guarantee you will get your refund “ and I didn’t they sent the charger I
contacted eBay again I was told I had to wait another day , so if I come
across as shouting that’s me venting my frustration with this site because
I’ve been messed around multiple times by eBay and the seller hence why I
feel scammed in addition to this I wouldn’t have ventured my frustration if
I could message the help service but I couldn’t there was only the option
of a call back from someone sounding like they were from America so this
sets off alarm bells as a scam for me because I get calls like that on a
weekly basis.
Now can you please explain to me why sellers are allowed to send items and
take my money 2 weeks after they’ve been told I want a refund?
That like me sending you a car then demanding the money when you didn’t
want the car!
I still have the unwanted charges, I still have no refund, so I still feel
scammed!
Please understand that these are just phone chargers and they were ordered
2 weeks ago and I’m still trying to sort this out it’s ridiculous, after
being told the the so called help team “I’m guaranteed a refund “ I ordered
2 from amazon and received them the next day! As that’s exactly what they
said the delivery would be!
Thanks for your time.

Re: EBay is a scam

Ignore any extended delivery times you have received,  just open a case for item not received one day after the item's original last estimated date for delivery.  If these were 2 separate purchases,  open 2 separate cases.

Do not close the case early for any excuse or promise the seller may give,  and if you are not refunded within 3 days,  you must escalate the case,  eBay step in and force the refund.

Re: EBay is a scam

It's not completely clear from your post but it seems that you did receive the chargers, but after the delivery date ebay gave you when you bought them.

In that case you can use the ebay money back guarantee and return the charges as 'not as described' at the seller's expense for a full refund.
