Dyson straightners

I need help which I’m not receiving from EBay.

 Should straighteners to a buyer, he paid, I sent the item.  He then said he hadn’t received the item and needed to buy his girlfriend a gift for her birthday. I refunded him foolishly and then investigated why it hadn’t been received, I was told it had been received, consequently buyer had the refund and the straightners.  I tried to contact buyer but he does not answer my messages.

 Have stage four ovarian cancer and obviously had to sell things due to not being able to work  (I have no hair) and unfortunately not that long to live….

Could anyone help me please 🙏🏻

Sorry to hear your have cancer and wishing you all the best.

Sadly you can't get a refund via ebay,but can send them a paypal invoice request,etc,but if no joy via messages, then you have there address and could send them details via a letter,ultimately taking further action for the debt.

It's possible that they were delivered, but left on the doorstep and stolen. This happens so often that the police are advising buyers in some areas to use click and collect deliveries instead.

It's a pity you didn't follow eBay's resolution procedure. They would have checked the tracking and if it showed that the item had been delivered they would have found in your favour. Unfortunately, once a buyer has been refunded eBay gives the seller no support if they keep the item as well when it arrives.

I shall do what you suggested and hope that something is done. The buyer
in question is trading as normal, it hurts me that he could do something
like this and get away with it.

Thank you so much for replying. They were signed for by the seller.
Unfortunately not being very well I fell for his sob story….. xx
