Do sellers have to pay if an item is lost?

Just as the title says, for more context an item I bought got delivered to the wrong address due to a mistake by the courier, Evri (I can see the correct address is written on the parcel in proof of delivery) 

Evri says they can't do anything and it's the seller's responsibility to issue me with a refund, at no cost to the seller.

Is this true?
