Did not receive item and tracking shows it's been signed and delivered

I purchased an item yesterday (03/10) and received a notification a few hours ago that a tracking number had been provided. However, I’ve now received another notification saying the item has been signed for and delivered but I haven’t received anything. I also checked the tracking on Royal Mail’s website using my tracking number and postcode in the chatbot, and it matches up. Also no other notifications between 'Tracking number provided' and 'Signed and delivered' on both eBay and royal mail. Could this be a scam?

There was a similar post to this yesterday where an item was dropped off and entered into the RM system but them immediately showed signed and delivered.

It could be an issue with Royal Mail.

I would advise ignoring this 'quirk' for now and waiting to see if your item is correctly delivered.

You can open an item not received case one day after the latest estimated delivery date.
